24 hours after its release, Asake’s “Lungu Boy” album reached its first of many milestones, earning a massive 5.88 million streams and claiming the No. 1 spot for the biggest first-day album streams on Spotify Nigeria. Lungu Boy grabbed the top spot from Davido’s 2023 “Timeless” album with a record of 4.91 million streams.
Asake’s Lungu Boy also claimed the 2024 highest achiever in the process, unseating Rema’s “Heis,” which garnered 2.71 million streams on its first day. “Lungu Boy” now holds the No. 1 spot for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria of all time and in 2024.
Like his previous albums, Lungu Boy simultaneously occupies the No. 1–15 spot on both Apple Music and Spotify Nigeria.
