Asake’s “Lungu Boy” Drops 3 Spots to No. 11 on Billboard World Albums Chart After 5 Weeks

Asake’s third studio album, “Lungu Boy”, continues its impressive run on the Billboard World Albums Chart despite slipping three spots to No. 11 in the latest rankings. The album, which debuted at an impressive No. 4 on the chart during the week of August 24, 2024, has now spent five consecutive weeks in the top tier of the Billboard World Albums Chart, showing strong commercial performance. 

“Lungu Boy” marks Asake’s third entry on the chart, following his previous albums “Mr Money With The Vibe” and “Work of Art”, which also made significant debuts at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. Although fan opinions on “Lungu Boy” are divided—some praising its innovation while others compare it unfavorably to his earlier works—the album’s sustained chart presence speaks volumes about its commercial success.
