Ayra Starr Clinches ‘Best African Act’ and ‘Best International Act’

Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr had a monumental night at the 2025 MOBO Awards, taking home two prestigious awards, including ‘Best African Act‘ and ‘Best International Act‘. Her win in the ‘Best African Act‘ category is particularly significant as she becomes the first female artist to win this award in 16 years.

The MOBO Awards ceremony, held on February 18, 2025, at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England, celebrated Ayra Starr’s exceptional year. In addition to the ‘Best African Act‘ honor, she also triumphed in the ‘Best International Act’ category.
