Blaqbonez Confirms October 17 Release for Delayed Album No Excuses

Nigerian rap heavyweight Blaqbonez has officially set the stage for his highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘No Excuses’, confirming its release for October 17, 2025. The announcement, shared via a video on X, ends months of speculation and fan anticipation after a series of delays pushed the project from its initial August 22 target. In true Blaqbonez fashion, the Emeka Must Shine rapper owned the setback with unfiltered honesty, stating, “I didn’t finish it on time, that’s the truth. I’m aiming for the best album ever, so no corners cut”. The result? A 16-track opus poised to cement his self-proclaimed “Best Rapper in Africa” title.

Following the new thriller video recently shared across his social media, Blaqbonez officially begins the rollout for ‘No Excuses’, which has been a rollercoaster of hype and pivots. Originally teased in July with infinity-stone memes, the album—once rumored to be titled “Everlasting Taker”—shifted gears after Blaqbonez dropped the introspective single of the same name to appease fans during the delay. Other singles, including the Phyno and Young Jonn-assisted “W For Wetego” and the sultry Kizz Daniel collab “Follow Her”, with both tracks showcasing Blaqbonez’s versatility. 

With ‘No Excuse’ coming after the success of ‘Sex Over Love’ (2021), ‘Young Preacher’ (2022, Headies Best Rap Album), and ‘Emeka Must Shine’ (2023), expectations are sky-high.
