BOJ Announces Sixth Studio Album Duplicity Set for December Release
Acclaimed English-Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer BOJ, a pioneer of the Alté music scene, has officially unveiled details of his highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Duplicity’. The project is slated for release on December 5, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the artist’s evolving career.
The announcement, shared via a cinematic teaser video on social media, promises a blend of BOJ’s signature fusion of Afrobeats, alternative R&B, hip-hop, and introspective storytelling. The title Duplicity hints at themes of duality, identity, and personal growth, reflecting BOJ’s journey from his roots in London’s grime-influenced sounds to his role as a linchpin in Lagos’ vibrant music ecosystem.
This follows BOJ’s critically praised fifth studio album, ‘12 Summers’ (2024), which celebrated 12 years in the industry with collaborations from artists like Adekunle Gold, Victony, Gyakie, Oxlade, and Ajebutter22. That project solidified his status as a master collaborator, earning nominations and widespread acclaim for its homage to his artistic evolution.
BOJ, born Bolaji Odojukan, first rose to prominence as part of the trailblazing collective DRB LasGidi in 2007. His solo discography includes the debut album Magic , SJVN, Gbagada Express, and 12 Summers. Known for tracks like “Abracadabra” (feat. Davido and Mr Eazi) and features on global hits such as Dave’s “Lazarus,” BOJ continues to bridge UK and Nigerian sounds, influencing the global Afrobeats wave.
The ‘Duplicity’ rollout has already sparked excitement across music communities, with early reactions praising the teaser’s atmospheric visuals and BOJ’s commanding presence.
