Alté pioneer, singer, and songwriter Boj has announced via his social media accounts Thursday, July 25th, as the release date for his third studio album, “12 Summers.” The announcement follows two releases from the artist this year.  Boj released the song “Love Garden” in May, featuring Afro-pop and R&B artist Adekunle Gold and “Jabo”, featuring gritty rapper Odumodublvck, on July 5th. Although Boj has yet to share the track list for the forthcoming project, it is probable that these releases are lead tracks. In a shared post on X, Boj stated, “MY NEW ALBUM 12 SUMMERS DROPS ON THURSDAY 25.07.24 MANY MANY SUPERSTARS DEY ON TOP!”

In 2022, as seen on his antecedent album “Gbagada Express” and its Deluxe version, the dynamic artist known for his not-so-mainstream fusion of sounds and subdued signature vocals featured a conglomerate of artists. Collaborations on the project included mainstream global stars such as Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, as well as Alté stars such as Amaarae, Teezee, Joey B, Enny, Bnxn, Victony, and others. Apparently, Boj intends to reproduce this and treat fans to an array of artists on “12 Summers.” In a follow-up tweet, Boj asserted that his project is what properly sets Summer 2024 in motion.
