Boj wraps up the year with a deluxe release

In a surprise announcement, Boj unveiled a deluxe edition of his 2024 album, ‘12 Summers’, adding four new songs to the original 13-track project and showcasing the production talents of Genio Bambino on all four. The creations of producers like Genio are slowly but surely resetting the music soundscape from its state to the traditional sound of Afrobeats after a two-year shift.

The additional tracks feature collaborations with alté pioneer Cruel Santino, underground afropop artist Minz, musical duo Ajebo Hustlers, and Easyscope. Harnessing his distinct, low-hum voice, Boj expertly balances collaborations while retaining full ownership of the project, with only two tracks standing alone without features on the entire project. 

A hallmark of Boj’s music is its ability to offer escapism, and ‘12 Summers’ delivers that with a blend of underground and mainstream guest artists. Tracks like Inside Out’ featuring Ajebo Hustlers and ‘Koshi’ with Sainté are quintessential Boj—melding mellow production with his signature laid-back vocals.
