The hit single “IF” by Davido has now been certified “Gold” in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
According to the association, the single “IF” which was released on February 17, 2017 has now grossed over 500, 000 in digital sales.
This had qualified the song for the prestigious digital awards and gold certification by the association.
It won’t be the first time that one of Davido’s song will be receiving a “Gold” in the U.S.
“Fall” had received a gold certification from same RIAA on May 28, 2020 after also grossing 500,000 digital copies in sales which also led to the producer of the song “Kiddominant” receiving gold certification in October same year.
Davido had taken to his Twitter handle to share the rest while appreciating God for making it possible twice.
The RIAA says, the Gold and Platinum awards are the grandest benchmarks to measure the success of an artist whether a rookie or veteran.
Congratulations to the OBO himself on this one.
