Entertainer 2.0: D’banj’s is making a Stunning Comeback with a sequel to his 2008 “Entertainer”

With a sensational short movie shared on Tuesday morning, D’banj, aka Koko Master, has announced a sequel to his third studio album “Entertainer,” titled “The Entertainer D’Sequel,” which will arrive on streaming platforms in three days. The short movie stars D’banj’s former record label boss and legendary producer Don Jazzy. The 2008 10-track album is one of D’banj’s most iconic works, containing tracks like “Mo Gbona Feli Feli,” featuring Don Jazzy’s renowned refrain and vocals of “Mo Gbona Feli Feli,” the viral “Olorun Maje,” “Celebrate,” featuring former label colleague Wande Coal,”Suddenly,” “Fall in Love,” and a host of other smash hits. 

In the short rollout film, D’banj is kidnapped, tortured, and forced to reveal whether or not he is returning to the music scene. He responds with a rhetorical question and eulogises himself before before being saved by a disguised sniper who turns out to be Don Jazzy. The scene cuts to D’banj playing a melody to one of his classics, “Koko,” on the famed harmonica. The video concludes with the album title “The Entertainer D’Sequel” and a release date of August 16th. Fans may yet again get  another joint project from these two on Friday. With Don Jazzy serving as the mainstay producer and incorporating chunks of his vocals.
