Fela Not Inducted Into Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame Despite Massive Votes
The late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Ransome Kuti has missed on the Hall of Fame induction of Rock and Roll as announced by the foundation.

The list of the inductees for the 2021 class includes; The Go-Go’s, Tina Turner, Carole King, Jayz, the Foo Fighters, and Todd Rundgren.

Recall that the foundation had earlier nominated the late Afrobeat star in February and asked for votes which Nigerians all over the world supported and even had Fela ranking at number 1.

Afrobeat stars like Burna Boy and David ran a massive campaign on social media to see that the legend gets inducted.

Unfortunately the legend lost that position and slumped to number 2.

If Fela had been inducted, he would have been the first Nigeria dead or alive to make it to the Hall Of Fame.

The induction ceremony will be held in October this year and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors musical artists whose songs have influenced the sound of youth culture.
