Mista Myles Follows “Rizzler” with New Single, “Camavinga”

As a close follow up to his well-received single “Rizzler”, released only months ago, budding Ghanaian Afrobeats/Afro pop artist Mista Myles has shared a new passionate track titled “Camavinga”. On the new single, Myles joins forces with go-to producer Iyke Parker who lays down a mid tempo rhythmic blend of percussion, piano and guitar riffs.

“Camavinga” sees Mista Myles unpack a romantic narrative with the sly but striking use of metaphors coupled with a heartfelt delivery. From the track’s title “Camavinga”, Mista Myles likens his muse to Angolan born midfielder/left back for Real Madrid Eduardo Celmi Camavinga. He invites listeners on a continuous metaphoric ride, opening with the second piano note “She say i’m a sweet boy, candy man I’m a willy wonka / When we off light, we dey fight like anaconda / You don see mami water wey dey like use kayamata / Any role i dey want she fit play like Camavinga”.

Built on smooth Afrobeats rhythms, “Camavinga” thrives on figurative expression. Myles weaves metaphors and puns throughout the record, using clever lyricism to convey his affection while keeping the song catchy and light.

The multiple innuendos on “Camavinga” Mista Myles journeys listeners through a specific romantic phase with a sticky, laidback delivery that suggests the budding Ghanaian artist is here for the long haul and only just getting started.
