The Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) has dedicated its victory over America and Argentina to the late Sound Sultan.
Nigerian made history last week Saturday when her Male Basketball Team known as the D’Tigers beat their American counterparts 90-87 in an Olympic friendly.
Her female team also won her Argentine counterparts over the weekend sealing the victory for the NBBF.
But the history comes in the fact that Nigerian became the first African team to beat the United States National Basketball Association (NBA) team in any competition.
Thus, the Nigerian Basketball Federation decidedly dedicated the win to the late musician who died of throat cancer.
The singer had contributed his own quota to the growth and development of Basketball in Nigeria and had forecasted that one day, the Nigerian team will dominate the world.
Unfortunately, this came to pass on the day he died, which was on the Saturday night of the victory.
