Singer Omah Lay has revealed how he shocked Ghanaian reigning songstress, Gyakie on the collaboration they did in “Forever” remix.
Recall that, Gyakie had employed the rare music artistry of Nigeria’s high-flying Omah Lay on the remix of her hit single “Forever” which was released just recently.
The remix was super hot and has made the single grow more popular even as it continues to top the chart in several African countries.
The Nigerian singer has made a startling revelation on the collaboration. He said he recorded his own verse of the song as soon as he heard it.
Hence, when he was contacted by Gyakie for a possible collaboration, he accepted and sent his verse within the hour which shocked the songstress.
Omah Lay won the Next Rated Star Awards which is considered to be the most sensational, most controversial and most anticipated award at the Headies in Nigeria due to the stiff competition among rising stars.
But the singer coasted to victory with that one even after emerging on the scene for not too long.
He has two EP’s to his name with very great songs that are always loud on the streets.
He said: “Fun fact: My verse on Forever (Remix) was written the first time I heard the song, way before we had any conversations about making a remix. Sent in the verse an hour after @Gyakie_ sent me the song, e shock am!”
However, fans have since trooped in to the tweet to commend him while some threw their shades in criticism.
