Ruger Announces Sophomore Album Date with Freestyle Reveal

Ruger has taken an unconventional route to unveil the details of his upcoming album, opting for a dynamic freestyle rather than a traditional press release.

In a video shared on his social media on March 3rd, the Afrobeats star delivered a freestyle over Gyptian’s classic ‘Hold You–Hold Yuh’ instrumental, creatively unveiling details about his upcoming project.

According to the lyrics, the album—titled Why Always Ru—is set to drop on March 28th, featuring 13 tracks with a total runtime of 37 minutes. He also hinted at an upcoming tour kicking off in April and running through September.
