Subaru Live Radio: Santino’s ‘King of The Bounce’ Arc

Following incessant attacks and often negative reviews of his craft, Cruel Santino, formerly known as Santi, announced Subaru Live Radio (SLR) on Twitter (now X) in January. He described it as “a new home to find beautiful fragments of music.” Santi also shared that the live radio would launch with an hour-long session of deep cuts, calling it “a time capsule of gems from around the world aside from my music.”

Yesterday, in a surprise move, Cruel Santino released SLR’s debut two-pack single, featuring Ravington, T6LU, and Navy. A track like ‘Gates of Heaven’, with its alchemic collaboration, grips the listener and possesses them with its cadence and the unique input of its guest artists.

The song sees all three artists taking shots at presumed opps in their verses, with a chorus that reinforces its theme: “Who’s that backing up the tree?” Ravington’s gravelly voice adds a layer of grit and credibility to the song’s mood, while T6LU’s simple yet effective rap bars complement the track’s overall bounce.

Earlier in February, Cruel Santino released another two-pack single, ‘Triology’, featuring Vic Reagan. The songs, which had already aired on the first episode of SLR, were produced by Vic Reagan and showcased Cruel Santino’s signature delivery over bounce-laden production, with memorable lines like “Top Striker, Kolo Muani.”
