Wizkid brings this year’s star-studded British Fashion Awards to a spectacular close
The 2024 British Fashion Awards, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, celebrated global excellence in fashion and featured standout moments from Tems and Wizkid who brought elegance and cultural vibrancy to the event. The evening was a dazzling spectacle, co-hosted by British broadcaster Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical.
Celebrating 16 awards, the event saw key moments, including Tom Ford receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, Tyler Mitchell being honored with the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, and A$AP Rocky winning the BFC Cultural Innovator Award presented by Michèle Lamy, recognizing his contribution to the fashion industry and his ability to constantly push boundaries with a unique talent for brand vision.
Wizkid brought the night to a close with an enthralling performance of “Troubled Mind” off his recent album, Morayo. Clad in a black outfit and platform shoes, he exuded modern sophistication. Wizkid’s performance was intimate and electrifying, a perfect conclusion to the glamorous evening.
Tems represented the African creative community with poise, accepting an award on behalf of Grace Wales Bonner for her contribution to fashion and art. Tems stunned on the red carpet in Dilara Findikoglu, which complemented her serene presence.
The red carpet was a runway of cultural tastemakers and high-profile fashionistas such as Rihanna, Harris Reed, Asap Rock, Rebel Wilson, Maya Jama, Issa Rae, Simone Ashley, Anok Yai, and Venus Williams showcasing boundary-pushing styles that highlighted the intersection of fashion and culture.
