Global Citizens Festival is coming to Africa for the first time and the artistes billed to perform this year are our very own Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and D’banj alongside some top international acts like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Usher, Ed Sheeran amongst others.
The event is scheduled to hold on December 2 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg in honour of the former South African President, late Nelson Mandela with the aim of ending extreme poverty by 2030. This will be their largest festival advocating change for the world’s most marginalised people to date, focusing on 6 UN Global Goals: Eradicating Poverty and Hunger, Health, Education, Girls & Women, and Water & Sanitation.
CEO of Global Citizens Hugh Evans, alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell and businessman Patrice Motsepe, on Monday, July 9, announced the lineup for the Global Citizen Festival to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 100th centenary.
